GeoAI Project Launch and Partners’ Kick-off Meeting

Ljubljana, July 3, 2025

On July 1, 2025, the project Geospatial Information Technologies for a Resilient and Sustainable Society officially commenced, funded by the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency ARIS within the framework of “gravity” projects.

Project partners’ representatives held a kick-off meeting on July 3, 7. 2025, where we agreed on communication protocols and activities for 2025.

The purpose of the three-year project is to develop innovative methods for Earth observation, spatial phenomena modeling, and geospatial analytics in support of decision-making. The project is an ambitious initiative aimed at surpassing current scientific and research achievements in geospatial science by integrating modern geospatial technologies, advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and capabilities for processing and analyzing large geospatial datasets.
