Launch of the GeoAI project and the partners’ kick-off meeting
Ljubljana, 1 July 2026
On 1 July 2025, the project Geospatial Information Technologies for a Resilient and Sustainable Society officially commenced. The project is funded by the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (ARIS) under the “Gravity” projects framework.
Representatives of the project partners held a kick-off meeting on 3 7. 2025, where we agreed on the communication approach and on the activities planned for 2025.
The aim of the three-year project is to develop innovative methods for Earth observation, modelling of spatial phenomena, and geospatial analytics to support decision-making. The project is an ambitious initiative that aims to go beyond existing scientific and research achievements in geospatial science by integrating modern geospatial technologies, advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and capabilities for processing and analysing large geospatial datasets.
